    Yokosuka is a city in Kanagawa prefecture and has long played a part in Japan’s naval history. The population is about 420,000 in Yokosuka city. It is considered the 11th most populous city in the Greater Tokyo Area (Tokyo is 45 km from Yokosuka) and the 12th in the Kanto region (Kyoto is 357 km from Yokosuka). It has become one of Japan’s important trade and fishing ports. The main industries are shipbuilding and automobile manufacturing. and, If we are talking about the delicacies of the place, the city’s famous foods are Kaigun (Navy) curry and radish. It’s called Miura daikon.
